Guide Owned & Operated
Julie Hanen created Ride the Earth to bring mountain bikers together for unique adventures in epic destinations. Julie has been an avid mountain biker for more than 20 years and has specialized in guiding her guests on multi-day adventures both domestic and international for the past 18 years. She is a certified mountain bike coach with a BA in Exercise Science. She is also a licensed and certified EMT and is highly trained in mountain rescue. She thrives on logistics, loves people, and, more than anything — her true love is to create epic experiences for her guests to travel, build skills, and explore the world with their mountain bikes.
Guide to Client Ratio
Ride the Earth provides one of the best guide-to-client ratios in the industry at one guide for every 4-5 participants. This allows us to offer individual attention to each client as needed while meticulously looking after each detail necessary to create extraordinary experiences.

Flexible Deposits
Your $500 deposit due at time of booking is fully refundable within the first 15 days. This risk free window allows you to confirm travel plans, ask your boss for time off, and invite your friends!
We also realize that life happens so, after that 15-day full window, you have until your final payment is due to transfer it to another departure with no added fees.
Payment Plans
We want to make your mountain bike adventure both epic and attainable. For anyone booking a trip more than 120 days (4 months) prior to the departure date, we offer a payment plan option upon request. All you have to do is to reserve your spot online, pay the deposit, then send us an email to set up your payment plan.
